Highlight (Beginner - Student's Book)

Highlight is a multi-level course for students of English, designed to help them become more effective communicators. It combines developmental work on fluency and accuracy in a carefully balanced course which will both interest and motivate learners. Each level of the course provides a wide variety of material through 12 topic-based units. Learner independence is encouraged through a grammar reference section, index of structures and functions, wordlist and progress tests. Among the most important teaching objectives of Highlight are: - encouraging individual students' input by inviting opinion and stimulating discussion; - developing fluency through functional language practice and balanced skills work; - improvising accuracy through a practical understanding of grammar; - consolidating progress through the recycling of vocabulary and pronunciation practice.
